Full day excursion to Basel

Tuesday, September 2

We'll turn you loose on an attractive city full of museums with a 'BaselCard' in hand that will allow free use of the extensive bus and tram system and entry to most  expositions.

Basel has more attractions than one can handle in a day, so we strongly recommend to study the options beforehand via:
Here you find an overview we have put together in pdf-form.

Those interested can visit the Zoo Basel (a guided tour will be offered at 10:30). Here a slightly outdated Zoo map for those who want to be well-prepared

In the afternoon (14:00) we can visit the  Swiss Tropical Institute, a world leader in its field
(see the program of the STI-visit)

On the way back we'll visit a wine cellar and dine in the Alsace tourism highlight Riquewihr

Half day excursion to Strasbourg
